Dear Participants,
We would like to draw your attention to our growing concern that a number of teams are playing ineligible players who are over-age. The committee has so far identified a number of players who are too old for their respective teams and when this occurs points are deducted and warnings are given in accordance with the rules of the league. On the third offence any team who is in breach of the rule will be disqualified from the competition and removed from the league fixture schedule. It was agreed by everyone in the December Coaches Briefing Meeting that this was a very important issue for the league.

For clarification we stress again that in no circumstance will overage players be knowingly allowed to play. The age cut-off dates are;

Under 9 players must not be born before 1.9.97
Under 11 players must not be born before 1.9.95
Under 13 players must not be born before 1.9.93
Under 15 players must not be born before 1.9.91

This rule is to be strictly applied for the benefit of all teams. This is a childrens league where teams must play against other teams with the same age group of players. We ask all coaches and schools to respect this rule and check their players before every game.

•  The names of players against the date of birth;
•  That all players attend the school for which they play.

Note : Players who are not students of the school that they represent shall not be allowed to play for that school. Any exceptions can only be made with the written permission of the league in advance of games such exemptions will be very rare.

The league officials and venue coordinators have a right to ask for player identification and proof of age. Failure to produce this for any given player disallows that player from participation in any following match until satisfactory evidence is provided. The team concerned will be sanctioned as per the league rules.
