About 2013 Season League!
The Jakarta Schools Football League started life in 2005 with our inaugural season involving 12 schools and 36 teams. In 2013 we shall be opening the season with 60 schools fielding 209 teams and involving about 3500 players.
The JSFA is a school representative league bringing together various diverse communities in Jakarta including International Schools, Local Schools, National Plus Schools and very importantly, teams from the dis-advantaged communities in Jakarta including Orphanages and local under privileged Kampung based teams. As the league has grown so has our ability to widen the reach of the league through the world’s greatest community platform which is sport and in particular Association Football.
The 2013 season kicks off on January 5th and will operate into late April. The league is now reaching down into 27 divisions in some age groups and will operate U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U12 girls and GirlsA, GirlsB age groups in the Coca-Cola League and Greenfields Challenge Cup tournaments.
The league wishes to officially recognize and thank our core sponsors Coca-Cola and Greenfields Milk who have actively supported the JSFA community as a whole with financial and product support for several years.
Matches are hosted every Saturday morning during the season at our 10 core venue hubs as follows;
- The British International School
- Australian International School
- Universitas Pembangunan Jaya
- STB-ACS International School
- Global Jaya International School
- International Sports Club of Indonesia
- Jakarta International School
- Jakarta Japanese School
- The Deutsche International School
- Sinarmas World Academy
The ethos of the league is fair play and sportsmanship and all participating teams and players are required to sign a firm commitment of respect for others at all times.
The league is operated by a voluntary committee of dedicated parents who want to see the children thrive in a healthy and well run football environment.
Offers of support of both a financial nature and/or via direct personal involvement is always welcome.
We look forward to seeing as many parents and players as possible in the coming season.
