The BIS team got off to a relatively slow start for the game, and they had a number of scoring opportunities early on but they were unable to find the back off the net, due to the strong defence put up by DH. The BIS persistence paid off with Liam Trainor making the opening goal of the season late in the 1st quarter. A penalty in the box lead to BIS’s 2nd goal by Mez Benmaamar early in the 2nd quarter and again due to some strong defence, BIS was unable to increase the score until the 3rd quarter. 3 goal were scored by BIS in the 2nd half of the game resulting in a final score 5-0 to BIS.
Tim Shaw stood out for BIS with is attack down the wing and was supported by solid play from the mid field players. The BIS defence was not pushed to their limits but they played a strong game and ensured that the ball was kept forward. The goal scorers for BIS were Liam Trainor 2 goals, Mez Benmaamar 2 goals and Tim Shaw 1 goal.
