About The League!
The Coca Cola Schools Football League  has now reached it 3rd full season and is concerned with the organization and delivery of inter-schools competitive football operating in the under 9, 11, 13 and 15 age groups. The 2008 league will run between January and March 2008 (and will operate both The Coca Cola League and Greenfields Challenge Cup for all participating teams.
The ethos of the League and of the Association is to promote good sportsmanship amongst all participants ie players, coaches and parents and to introduce schools to the enjoyment of teamwork in sport, healthy exercise and healthy competitiveness. In addition, to give the most skillful players an opportunity to expand their horizons and to give the less skilled (primarily in the 'B' and 'C' divisions) an opportunity to represent their schools on the football field and to learn more about the game.
The league encourages the introduction of professional coaching to supplement teacher and parent support and retains in both an advisory capacity and in coaching applications 'Asian Soccer Academy' and their professional coaching team.
This is the third season of the league having run highly successfull campaigns in 2006 and 2007. The Competitions include international schools, national plus schools, local schools and orphanage teams.
The 2009 season is set to start with 109 teams involving 43 participating schools and orphanages and up to 1500 players each Saturday. This is a major undertaking which requires a great deal of effort by all concerned for which we are extremely grateful.
The Coca Cola Schools League does not charge participating schools or parents for taking part in the league, other than a Rp 1.00 m per team registration fee. All organization, information and venues are provided free of charge. We are able to do this due to the very generous support by our two key league and Cup sponsors Coca-Cola and Greenfields Milk who support local sport in Indonesia.
We are also grateful to the schools in providing the main venue hubs throughout the season eg ;
- The British International School
- Sekolah Global Jaya
- STB-ACS (International) Jakarta
- International Sports Club of Indonesia
- Jakarta Japanese Club
- Deutsche International School
